It all started in 1968 with Maria working alongside her parents in their Lynwood Delicatessen. A lifelong relationship was established when Wendy went to work there too. The successful Italian deli soon grew so large that the family moved to Arcadia. Maria and Wendy’s careers continued when they left the family business to manage Maria’s brother’s delicatessen in Santa Monica. The work was hard and the hours were long, but cooking side by side was what the inseparable friends cherished and the Santa Monica based deli flourished.

Padua Pasta Makers is the culmination of both their careers, preparing Italian specialties and managing a successful business. Wendy and Maria are passionate about providing the small community of Upland with home spun quality that has taken years to perfect. But along with quality they want to extend to everyone who enters their store a feeling of home and friendship.
